CITY SC Posse is back for Episode 15, and for once, we are talking about a win. Weird, right?

St. Louis CITY SC went on the road in the U.S. Open Cup, survived an ugly first hour against the Chicago Fire, conceded first again, and then somehow flipped the match with the help of actual useful substitutions. Eduard Löwen came on, Makai Joyner brought energy, Thomas Totland followed the play, and suddenly CITY looked like a team that remembered soccer is allowed to be fun.

Was it beautiful? Absolutely not. Was it deserved? Debatable. Did we care once the final whistle blew? Also no. It was survive and advance, baby.

But the bigger question is whether this was a one-off or the beginning of a much-needed tactical adjustment. Damet actually made earlier subs. Löwen looked calm, creative, and dangerous. Joyner gave the attack speed and directness. Totland keeps showing he can bring value in advanced spots. Meanwhile, the forward group still has plenty of questions, CITY keeps conceding first, and the first half against Chicago was roughly as exciting as reading printer instructions.

Then we turn to Austin. CITY is still chasing its first MLS road win, Austin is beatable, and the schedule is finally starting to look a little less like punishment from the soccer gods. If CITY really is better than its record, this is the match where they need to prove it. No more moral victories. No more “good effort.” No more pretending a draw is a personality.

Also discussed: Sunday afternoon soccer, leftover birthday party pizza and wings, outdoor TV plans, betting angles, why Löwen needs a full half, and whether this Open Cup run might be the thing that keeps the season alive.

Bright: All right. And prompt to recording session. We knew we needed to record before the game, ⁓ on Sunday. I had to be reminded. I don't know if I mentioned this last episode, you know, we're having my son's birthday party and I was like, ⁓ everybody can just stay after the party and it'll lead right into the city game. And then I was like, ⁓ they play on Sunday. So that's not going to work for Saturday night.

Kev: Yeah, it's not gonna work. ⁓ I can't remember if we talked about that last episode or after it wrapped up, but it's gonna be ⁓ a weird Saturday night without the game on, so.

Bright: Yeah. Yeah, that's, that's always the bummer. You know, like you feel like whether it's an away game or a home game, it doesn't matter Saturday nights for soccer. So when we have these Sunday night games, it's kind of a bummer. mean, it's great Sunday night. got something to do. Now this is a four 30 start time, you know, and. Right. We got the early game. So like the kids are still awake.

Kev: I was gonna say it's not even Sunday night, it's... Yeah.

Bright: you know, I don't know. I'm sure, I'm sure my wife will take the kids. I'll be focused on the game. ⁓ you're gonna, you're going to be over at the house tomorrow. You got to help me set up the outdoor TV. Maybe I get that set up. You know, maybe I barbecue. I'm gonna have some leftover pizza and wings from tomorrow night. You know, I don't know. Maybe it's a leftover leftovers for the game.

Kev: There you go. Yeah. Perfect. Now I know what's on the menu for the birthday for you, so that's ideal. Pizza and wings.

Bright: Pizza. ⁓ I was going to, I I meant to mention, I was going to text everybody that I get any to do that. ⁓ cause the party's at four 30. So like prime time dinner time and it's a teenage mutant ninja turtles, ⁓ party theme. we got pizza and chicken wings, baby. Mm. Can't go wrong there. So we're, we're in a better mood because we won on Wednesday night, right?

Kev: Yeah. My favorite. I love it. It's redhead. Dig it. Go. We did. A little surprise win. So you feel good. A little surprise win. ⁓

Bright: So you could say that again. Yeah. It was, it was not a deserved win per se. ⁓ you know, in, in contrast to Saturday night against San Jose, where we dominated and should have won that game and lost. was very disappointing. Then Wednesday night in the open cup matchup.

Kev: Mm-hmm. Yeah, that's it.

Bright: On the road against the Chicago fire, which we previewed, which a better team than us. And they, and they showed it. They, they looked to be the better team, but we went out there with pretty much the exact same lineup. So I don't know how you were feeling going into that, but certainly I'm like, okay. You know, with the exception of betcher and toy shirt, ⁓ you know, just the, the swap there, everything else was the same. So forget about short rest, forget about, you know, this is a. ⁓ tournament matchup. was, Hey, you know, DeMay anyway, thinks that this is our best 11. This is what he's been sticking with all season and that's what he was going to go with. So some people looked at that as like, Hey, we're going all out for the U S open cup. We're trying to win this game. And then other people looked at it like, here we go again.

Kev: We're trying to win this cup. Yep. Sure. I don't think there was a wrong way to look at it from either of those perspectives because I feel both sides of that. ⁓ Excited that we went in to win it. We talked about it last game. It does feel like the season in terms of playoffs is small chance not happening, right? So let's go out. Let's win. There we go.

Bright: one, one percent chance to win the cup, ⁓ well the wind, the MLS cup. yeah.

Kev: Yeah, what more do you need is a chance. if you're thinking, as we go into a couple of way games, is if the season's over, let's play for the Cup. We talked about it last episode. Let's play for the Cup. And he came out with a strong light up that showed he wanted to win. Is it the strongest lineup we should be having? No, it's not. You know, we still had a ball in there and that's something that's been a thorn in our right side ⁓ all season long. literally. I do think that Butcher probably needed a break, needed to sit for a game and I thought that was a good decision. I don't know if that's him giving him a rest or not. ⁓

Bright: But. Literally. Yeah. would agree. think it's both, right? So you give, you give better the rest. He's worked hard. mean, you got to give him credit for that. He, yeah. Yeah. Puts a lot of men. And when he's in there, he works hard. Now he doesn't produce, ⁓ but neither does toy shirt and neither does Cordova really. And again, I said this in the blog. If you read the blog again, I have to say it was a great, ⁓ great blog post.

Kev: We'll find out. Yes, he's been a lot of minutes, a lot of minutes. Hmm? Yeah.

Bright: On Thursday morning. So go check it out. If you haven't checked it out yet, I'm very proud of it. ⁓ but, but yeah, toy shirt Cordova, they didn't really make any impact in this game and they haven't really made much of an impact all season other than Cordova's, ⁓ goal on Saturday night, which, know, ⁓ what, ⁓ what is it? A blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then, you know, like

Kev: Go. Yep, broken clock.

Bright: One goal, one goal doesn't change the whole story and toy shirt who I thought has looked dangerous in episode. In episodes. I, we just got done watching the boys. told you this, um, looks dangerous in some games. He, he did not look dangerous in this game. And, the fact of the matter is, is he hasn't produced a single goal yet. So as far as up top, mean,

Kev: Yeah.

Bright: Pretty much the whole first half was Bayad Bayad. That's the only way I know. Like, no, it was terrible. It was, it was boring. It was boring really from both sides. mean, the fire had some chances. Yeah. They dominated the possession. Certainly we couldn't string two passes together. You know, so that, that was, I think it was, what was frustrating as you come out with this lineup that really mashed on Saturday, even though

Kev: Yeah, you didn't want to watch the first half, you? You missed it. You felt good. They had a couple chances. Mm-hmm.

Bright: We didn't get the results. We had the attack. looked strong. Yes, we were at home. We had the energy, but they looked flat, you know, disconnected the, you know, the first half was, ⁓ pretty about pretty much as bad as it gets.

Kev: Yep. Yep. Not wrong. You know, I was stuck. ⁓ watching the game on CBS Plus or whatever it is. I was telling you about that how it was like in and out kind of between games. So I only got to see so much of the first half because there were a couple other games that they were going to. But that's like a good thing probably for me. So that was kind of a bonus. I'm glad I didn't have to sit there and see the

Bright: CBS Plus, Right. Yeah, right. Yeah, the first half.

Kev: brutality that was, you know, St. Louis city as we couldn't string together passes, as you said, as they were dominating possessions, as they brought on pressure that we couldn't really keep up with.

Bright: It, it was one of those games where you were playing around on your phone, you know, like looking at reels or playing a game or whatever, because nothing was happening in, the city game. Now, Chicago did hit the post twice. We got bailed out, you know, so they, they had some chances for sure. And they looked like goals.

Kev: Mm-hmm. Yep. Yep.

Bright: When you, and you were kind of just like, here we go. And then it hit the post and you're like, okay, we're still alive. Right. So.

Kev: So it was, it was miserable ⁓ real quick because again, it was kind of like, ⁓ almost, I don't know, like the red zone kind of style to where they're cutting in and out of games and jumping around. And, ⁓ every time they jumped to the city game, it was just a hold your breath. Cause why are they jumping to the city game? Cause it was never us with the ball. You know, was not, it wasn't like, it wasn't like we had a chance actually.

Bright: Mm-hmm. Right. No. Well, we didn't have the ball. We didn't have the ball in the first half.

Kev: I take it back. We had the ball as they cut over at one point in time. can't remember what it was. It might've been their goal. can't remember. Yeah, we had it. We gave it up probably, I don't know, halfway to their territory on the left wing. They carried that ball all the way down, you know, and had a great chance. was just, it was, it was not fun being cut into that game, you know? It was stressful.

Bright: Well, it wasn't, it wasn't fun for a while watching it from the get-go either. Now, when you look at the overall stats, you know, they, weren't great for city. Chicago had 60 % possession. had 13 shots to our eight shots. And we know our eight shots came pretty late in the game. Chicago now Chicago only had two shots on target and we had four. So you know that when you look at that, that probably ends up being.

Kev: Yep.

Bright: the difference, right? So yes, we ended up winning and we'll get into, you know, some of that here in a second, but I don't necessarily feel great about this win. don't feel like this is a turnaround game for us or anything like that. Even though we do beat somebody that's higher in the standings. Now the fire play on the East, we're in the West obviously for MLS. Um, yes, do you get a win against the team? That's better than us. A team that's a rival.

Kev: Yeah.

Bright: a team that knocked us out of the U S open cup in the past on the road. Those are all good things in theory. But again, I I don't come out of this game thinking if we would have won against San Jose, I would have been like, all right, we're onto something. Right. But this game didn't look like that. This looked like a, got lucky. I'll take it.

Kev: ⁓ yeah, we're building something. held on, yeah, we were able to survive their wave, their chances. I know we're gonna, you know, the big thing to talk about here is who came in around that 60 minute and changed everything. And that's why you should feel good about this game because this is, you know, a player that we're getting back and can bring in that, creativity.

Bright: Yes, right. Okay. Right. Well, I mean, I feel great. ⁓ Right.

Kev: The freaking that heel kick that he had for that first goal was just phenomenal. Great vision. ⁓ You gotta feel good about what you brought.

Bright: Yes. Obviously I think we all feel, we all feel great about Louvin and what he brings to the team and to the pitch and all that. And, it was evident in this game and he was overwhelmingly the man of the match. And yes, he comes on in the 60th minute with Joyner. And I, know, I think in general fans rejoiced because Demay doesn't make changes that early. And you know, yes, as the U S open cup match is different than MLS, but

Kev: Mm-hmm, another. ⁓ yeah.

Bright: I like, is he going to do this again? Like, is it, did he change his philosophy? Was this a one-off? I, you know, I don't know. I don't just because it happened the one time. I don't know that he's going to all of a sudden changes coaching philosophy and start bringing on earlier substitutions, even though that's what fans want. That's what we're clamoring for, especially when we have some players that can come in off the bench and, make a difference. Now.

Kev: that conserved to get those minutes.

Bright: Go ahead.

Kev: Why isn't joiners starting? We need joiners starting.

Bright: Well, I think we have to, we have to talk about that. And I, and I talked about this in the blog, whether he's starting or not, he needs more minutes. Right. He needs more minutes for sure. So whether he's somebody that's coming in in the 60th minute, the 45th minute, the 70th minute, I don't know, but he can't be, it's kind of like McSorley. You're bringing somebody in the 85th minute that ain't going to cut it. Joyner brings creativity. He brings speed. He brings attack.

Kev: Yeah, that's happening.

Bright: Right? So yeah, he he can be a bench guy. He's a fun player. Right? He could be a bench guy, but he can't be a guy that comes on with two minutes left. ⁓ in the game. Right? So by giving him 30 plus minutes, ⁓ and same with Louvin. And I will mention this. They, again, we talked about this last episode. Demay says that Louvin is 45 minutes fit. At least he should be more than that. Now should be 60 minutes fit. So, you know, you're only giving them 30 minutes of playtime.

Kev: Fun player. 45 minutes.

Bright: So you got to, you know, you got a player like that, give them 45 minutes. Saturday. want to see him. want to see him play 60. If you say he's 45 minutes fit, that was a week and a half ago. So today he should be 60 minutes fit. So that's one thing. Now I got to get to something else before we get into the good stuff. And that's that we conceded first.

Kev: Mm-hmm. Yeah. No. Yeah.

Bright: Again, again. So yes, Joyner comes on and Leuven comes on at the 60th minute. Well then the 64th minute, Chicago scores.

Kev: Why? Why aren't we making money on this? Like I have not laid that bet first team to score yet that season. And I feel stupid. Just put that, put that money down, put that money down and enjoy, enjoy the riches. Yeah. Yep. I go. Yeah. It's a hundred percent a safe bet. It's the smart money.

Bright: Well, ⁓ think it's what nine out of 10 or 10 out of 11. We've given up the first goal. So you might as well. I think that is a safe bet at this point. 90 90 % smart money. agree. So that was a little concerning and certainly when you're watching the game, you know, we've been completely dominated up to that point. You're like, well, that was to be expected. I'm not surprised again. Berkey had no chance. You know, it's just like, ⁓ sucks. But like you said, Louvin, Louvin brings calm, cool. He's collected, right?

Kev: Yeah, you didn't expect anything different. ⁓ huh.

Bright: That's what he brings and he showed it creative. showed it in his pass that cool back heel and he put power behind it. Like he knew exactly what he was doing. You know, anybody in theory could do a back heel, but he boom, you know, this was a hard back, back heel pass. He knew where he was putting it inside the six. Harder was running on. Hardell has a great play chips. The goalie, which we talked about in the last episode too. ⁓ chips the goalie now unlucky for Hartle defenders there. He, he stops it from going in, but Totland again, to his credit is following the play ball pops out to him and he just hammers it back, goes between the defender's legs. We got a goal. And, ⁓ and again, I think we talked about this Totland brings a little bit more attack. ⁓ you know, and, he's good on defense too. So he, you know, he's really a box to box player here.

Kev: Mm-hmm.

Bright: ⁓ and he should be getting more minutes. And now this is back to back games of him starting. So I'm all for it. And you know, he was rewarded with a goal.

Kev: Yep. Nope. was a great play. Lueven, you know, brings a lot. think he and Hurtle, that combination is going to really pay off in the second half. We talked about how these first couple of games, it's all been Hurtle. Hurtle's creativity, he's making every play, right? Like any offensive chance he started it or he's, you know, he's somehow a part of it.

Bright: Well, I think you're right. Yep. That's all flowing. It's all flowing through hurdle. Right.

Kev: Now that you've got a second piece that can ⁓ one compliment him or be that other side of it, it's gonna be huge. It's gonna be big.

Bright: Yeah. Well, and then you throw in, you know, you throw in Louvin's, ⁓ free kicks, corner kicks instantly instantly. You're, you're a better team, you know, and, and he's a bigger guy. You know, I identify with him a little bit, you know, cause that's kind of how I was sometimes, ⁓ out on the field. ⁓ I wasn't the fastest guy, you know, but, but I was, you know, a little bit more broad than some of the other players out there and the, you know, the, ⁓

Kev: Mm-hmm. Yeah. We all talked about it. Yeah.

Bright: Yeah, we all talked about it, right? ⁓ they talked about it on the, they talked about it on the, the, the game too. You know, one of their players just ran in, you know, to Louvin, Louvin just turned and the bounce right off of them. And the announcer said something about it. You know what, just because he's bigger, you know? ⁓ so, so Louvin does bring something and you know, so then we come into gold number two, you know, we're, 17 minutes into the pod here and we want to preview a little bit of.

Kev: Yeah. and bounce right off.

Bright: of the Austin game. So that's, mean, gold number two joiner. So he gets the ball from Hartle, takes it down to the goal line, passes it back, you know, to the penalty spot, give or take a little bit past the penalty spot. But yes, yes, he may have gotten lucky. I think you said it right. Like it goes through a couple of players. We'll take it. We need some of that luck, but Totland makes the run central draws the defenders. And so

Kev: Yep. Mm-hmm.

Bright: That is what leaves Louvin open on the far post, right? Because Totlin made that run, followed the play. So give him credit for that. And then again, go read the blog if you want to hear my full comments, but calm, cool, collected. That's what it was. Ball comes across, Louvin side foots it, doesn't even think about it, you know, puts it in a great spot. Goalie is not going to get it, get to it. Doesn't put it into the crowd.

Kev: It was a good- Yep. Very good. Very good.

Bright: You know, even though he puts it in the air, he just, yeah, right. just steps into one, buries it. And now this is what two out of three games and you can hardly count the game on Saturday night. He got like four minutes of play time. You know, he came in, came in against Seattle, instantly scored, comes in, got, gets a, an assist or at least a secondary assist. ⁓ and a goal.

Kev: Mm-hmm. So many times. Yeah. Yeah, I I expected every game now for sure. ⁓ At least one, two goals and gain probably from Louvin. ⁓ I'll be betting on that next game. Maybe three goals, four goals possibly really going up for the odds. No, honestly, like the offense that he brings is phenomenal and good positioning. thought to your point, you know, I had mentioned it was kind of lucky that that ball had made it through, but there were some good weaving runs. where far side comes into the near post, near side runs back to the back post and you know, that works. It was awesome. It was good play.

Bright: You know, it confuses the defenders. They, they have to make a decision. You're putting a little bit of pressure on them and they have to make a decision. Right. think that's, I think that's the thing, you know, and soccer, they call it the beautiful game. It's kind of like chess in a, in a sense, right? You, you put a player forward and the other team has to react. They have to play for that. Right. Are they going to, are they going to go in and take it? Are they going to back up or that, you know,

Kev: Yep. Yep. Mm-hmm.

Bright: And it creates other opportunities, other holes. And I think that's exactly what we, what we saw in that goal. So to wrap up the game, you know, they held on. So we're up two to one at that point. We hold on for 10 minutes injury time, whatever it was, ⁓ you know, take the ball to the corner. You know, they did a good job. Betcher comes in, fall comes in and Baca, however you say his name fall comes in for Tottenham gives us a little bit more stability. So I thought, I thought this was. Coach to me, one of his better games using his substitutions, ⁓ at the right time, the right play, you know, the players, ⁓ I don't think he's been great at that. And he's definitely taken some criticism from the fans, but, ⁓ but this, this game for whatever reason, it worked for him. So let's, let's see what he does on Sunday. ⁓ but before we get to the Austin preview, ⁓ just a quick note.

Kev: consultation. worth it the one.

Bright: ⁓ we are now matched up against the Houston dynamo at home. And this is on, I put it my calendar. think it's on May 19th.

Kev: Nice.

Bright: May 19th at home, seven o'clock. This is a very winnable game. The dynamo or aren't like some kind of crazy good team in the Western conference. think they're sitting in ninth place right now. They have roughly on a Tuesday. Yeah. I'm actually looking forward to that. should be in town. ⁓ so I plan on, I plan on going right now. Tickets are 34 bucks. Some people are complaining about that. ⁓ it's not like that much. I know.

Kev: May 19th on a Tuesday, huh? That's nothing. That's nothing. Yeah.

Bright: But when the last us open cup matchup, only had what? don't know. 8,000 fans.

Kev: Yeah. But who were we playing? We were playing, who was that, Lui? Tulsa. ⁓ Yeah, I mean.

Bright: Yeah. Right. Tulsa. Same difference, right? Yeah.

Kev: Well, when it's a nothing team, you're not going to get as many fans there. was the first game of the cup for us, at least, so there wasn't any excitement. Now, all of a sudden, we're in the quarterfinals and maybe building something.

Bright: Yeah, sure. We were expected to win, yeah. Hopefully more people show up. Well, I'll definitely plan on being there, whether it's a $34 ticket at $20 resale ticket, you know, I'll play it on being there. Um, we'll see. We'll see how it goes, but we definitely, we definitely should prioritize the cup. think at this point we've talked about that. Um, you know, the.

Kev: Good. I like it. Yep. Shout out to the fans too that made it up to the game. I heard you chanting.

Bright: Yeah, for sure. For sure. You know, and through my work, I won't say who I work for, but I, I had opportunities, ⁓ to go to the Chicago fire game. Right. I have for her. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Right. Right. Right. All right. So let's take a, let's take a look at Austin. ⁓

Kev: ⁓ yeah, if only you could have gone to that Chicago fire game.

Bright: You know, so we're, playing Sunday. It's a four 30 start time, ⁓ Apple TV as usual. ⁓ still looking for our first road win here. This could be, this could be it. You know, ⁓ are you able to pull up the standings right now? I don't have them right in front of me. ⁓ I don't think, you know, Austin. Austin is currently 13th in the Western Conference. that right? With 10 points.

Kev: I'm pulling it up now, but I'm going to say yes, that sounds right. ⁓

Bright: I think that is right. Yeah. So a two, four and four record is what I got in my notes. So this is a winnable game. Yes. I know we're on the road and winning on the road and the MLS. I hate it. I hate it when everybody says that, you know, but, but like, let's go for this. That puts us at nine points. That would only put us at one point behind Austin. You know, like I said, ⁓

Kev: This is a winnable game.

Bright: You know, this, this is a team and I think I said it in the last episode, Austin, Colorado, then we're back at home, DC, Austin again at home, Kansas city at home, galaxy, Colorado at home. You know, those are winnable games. So we could go on a stretch here. And I know one, five, and three isn't a great record to start the season, but Louvin comes back. We kind of get into form. We have the world cup break. Maybe we come out of the break. You know, we have an opportunity here to, to, to change the script.

Kev: One, five and three just sounds so demoralizing. Cause I didn't even think it was one, five and three. I thought we at least had two wins somewhere in there. Cause it feels like we should. We've been in a couple of games that I think we probably certainly last, you know, last week, last Saturday should have been a win. that's so disappointing. Yeah. There, ⁓ I think there are what a position ahead of us in the standings.

Bright: Yeah, no, it's, it's pathetic. Well, the unbe- ⁓ I mean for sure we have games that- yeah. Yeah. Do they have a game ahead of us too though?

Kev: They have a game ahead of us as well. Yep.

Bright: Right, so you win this game and then we're only one point behind them with the game in hand.

Kev: Yeah.

Bright: Yeah, they've played 10, we've only played 9.

Kev: And Portland's up there with 10 points too. They've got nine games though. You know, this would be a big win for it. Yeah.

Bright: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You got a chance to climb the standings a little bit. Like I said, with a slightly easier schedule, we've had a really tough start to the year and a lot of road games. And we've got two more on the road here. You know, Austin, Colorado, it's never easy to go into Colorado mile high stadium type stuff. Um, and then you got LAFC at home. That's that's certainly no cakewalk. Um,

Kev: Another.

Bright: But, but you're right. You have, you have an opportunity here to go on a little bit of a run.

Kev: I hate to say it, because I feel like we've said it before, but this is a must-win game.

Bright: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I mean, I don't disagree with you. You lose, you lose to Austin. Who's not a good team. You're saying, you're saying that we should, and I don't, not just you, but everybody we're saying we are records should be better than it is. We are a better team than our records shows. So we know we can't finish. Yeah. This is a game where you got to prove it. ⁓ you can come off of that midweek matchup.

Kev: It's kind of feels like a must win game doesn't it like you got to come away with three-pointer you Not a good team. I don't- If that's true, you gotta prove it in this game. You gotta prove it in this game.

Bright: beating an MLS team on the road. We just did it. I know it wasn't an MLS matchup. Um, but again, yeah, you've got the opportunity here to string a couple of wins together. Um, and you know, move up, move up the standings a little bit. we'll wait and see what happens. I know I'm going be having some leftover pizza and chicken wings. Uh, maybe watching the game underneath the deck. It's going to be a beautiful day on Sunday. Uh, drink drinking a beer.

Kev: Mm-hmm. happened. I might be doing the same thing. Yeah. Same thing, same place. Yeah. Having some leftover pizza and chicken wings. Well, it's going to be a good day for certainly outside and you don't get too many, you know, I see games that are going to be daytime tricking outside.

Bright: Well, I, you know, I might have some people over on, Sunday too. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. ⁓ yeah. You know what? And even if the kids, you know, my kids like it, even though they, you know, they're young and they don't, they can't follow a whole game, but they like the idea of it. They like to wear their city stuff and, know, so get them out on the swings and, turn on the game and, know, they can just run around and I can sit there and watch the game. So that might, that might be the plan.

Kev: Mm. yell at them a little bit. It's a good plan.

Bright: All right. Well, maybe, ⁓ we didn't go through bets or anything like this, but maybe if you, ⁓ you text me some options, ⁓ I'll put it, I'll put it in the blog. Maybe I'll put a blog post out on Sunday with our, with our final thoughts on the game. Are you, did you look it up? Is there anything, ⁓ jumping out at you? It's a little early still.

Kev: Yeah, I looked it up. I don't know. You know, it's a little early to take anything outside of like the money line.

Bright: Right, well, you don't know the starting lineup. You can't make some extra bets.

Kev: And what am I feeling? Of course I'm feeling a city win. So you can take the city win, but it's going to be, let me look at it.

Bright: I got the probability right here. Austin right now, 37%, Austin, 36 % St. Louis, 27 % draw. So it's almost exactly the same as what it was St. Louis, San Jose, but flip-flopped because we're the away team here.

Kev: Plus 160. Yeah, we're. 434. Mm-hmm. Yep. And we know who won that game. So, you know, I think this is a city batting plus 160. I think that's the way I'm going.

Bright: What happened there? Yeah. All right, well I need to win some money back. So maybe I'll bet like 20 bucks on the city win.

Kev: ⁓ man, well let me tell you something. I won just real quick, won some money on Citi's win on Wednesday. I put the Moneyline Citi on it. Just five bucks, but you know, it came away with what plus 195 odds. So that was a good win. And then I want a little bit of money on the Cardinals. you know, I'm up. I'm up over lap, I'm awake.

Bright: Did ya? I didn't bet Wednesday. Nice. Yeah. ⁓ wow. Well, Kentucky Derby is Saturday night.

Kev: Gotta go blow that money now.

Bright: Yeah. I don't know what time the race is because everybody's coming over here at four 30 or five. So five 30 Eastern or five 30. Uh, I'll have that. I'll have to get it going.

Kev: It's 530, I think, usually, isn't it? I that sounds right. Yes, I assume central standard 530.

Bright: All right, well, you might have to come over early. Help me set up that outdoor TV then and get it going.

Kev: Yep, sounds like a plan.

Bright: All right. Well, let's go city. I'll, ⁓ I'll get this episode posted. I'll put out a blog too, maybe a Sunday without any, ⁓ last minute updates. ⁓ we had some good viewership numbers in our last episode. ⁓ not great. Not our best episode ever, but you know, sometimes when you get it out, ⁓ kind of late, but we're to get this one out early. Everybody will have a full day. Of course, if you're listening now, I mean, you're already already listening, but we'll get, we'll get a full day and a half. of everybody with a chance to listen.

Kev: I like it. Let's look for one full half of Lubin. That's all I'm asking for. One full half. That's what I'm looking for. Yep.

Bright: Yeah, I would like to see that one full half of Louvin. Yep. I would like to see it. All right. And if you haven't done so, go check out the new episode of NFMP pod. ⁓ if you, Kev, I know you haven't listened to it yet. It's all about presidential assassinations and assassination attempts. It's a great history lesson. ⁓ if you didn't know it, ⁓ go check it out. It's titled you boys like assassinations from super trippers.

Kev: Sure. Why not? Let's do it.

Bright: Fall, fall asleep to it tonight. if nothing, it's still a listen, even if you use it to fall asleep to. All right. All right. Take care. Peace.

Kev: Love it. Love it. All right, you later. Yep. Bye.
