CITY are *U.S. Open Cup Champions*. Now what?
On this episode of *CITY SC Posse*, Matt and Kev celebrate St. Louis CITY SC lifting the *Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup*, breaking down the dramatic Final win over Columbus, Ben Lundt’s penalty-shootout role, Roman Bürki’s big performance before the injury, and what the trophy means for the club and the city.
Then the conversation turns quickly.
After the emotional high of winning the Cup, CITY came crashing back to earth with a rough performance at Real Salt Lake. So how much of that result matters? Was it just schedule congestion, rotation, and tired legs, or is there a more serious concern developing with the attack?
Finally, Matt and Kev look ahead to the next challenge: *Portland at Energizer Park*. They discuss the standings, playoff implications, who needs to start, what CITY should do with key pieces potentially missing, and why this match still matters even after the trophy celebration.
