CITY SC Posse 35 | Four Straight Losses: What’s Actually Wrong With CITY?
CITY have now lost four straight MLS matches. And for the first time in a long time, the vibes around this team feel completely different.
In this episode, Bright and Kev react to back-to-back losses against Portland and San Diego, and ask the big question: what’s actually wrong with CITY right now?
Is this just the cost of a brutal schedule and too many matches in too few days? Or are there deeper issues starting to show up at exactly the wrong time?
We get into:
- the defensive collapse against Portland
- the frustrating missed chances against San Diego
- why the attack suddenly feels predictable
- whether Bürki and Mățan are more important than we realized
- Ben Lundt’s difficult stretch in goal
- the drop in confidence heading into Houston and the playoffs
- whether CITY can still recover home-field advantage and regain momentum before the postseason starts
After a historic run and an Open Cup trophy, this team suddenly feels uncertain again, and this episode is really about figuring out whether that concern is temporary… or real.
If you’re a CITY fan trying to make sense of this ugly stretch, this one’s for you.

Bright: Alright, so we were both at the game yesterday. Halloween day game. I know I was excited for it. obviously you got a whole Saturday night planned, the Halloween with the kids. I'm like, this is gonna be a fun day. And it ended up being a bummer of a start. I will say we had a great Halloween, but that kinda kinda killed the energy going into the evening.
Kev: What are we doing here? A home
Bright: Well
Kev: game? We should be winning we should be winning this thing. And
Bright: And so
Kev: you're right. It it was a damper on the day, obviously. And you know, you asked me last last game, am I hitting a panic button or anything like that? Maybe. I think my fingers on that button a little bit.
Bright: Yeah. We'll we'll we'll get to
Kev: Well
Bright: that for sure. So that's the theme for this episode, 'cause we need to recap the last two matches. And although we might not s necessarily do a deep dive on each match, my overall idea is like we need to talk about the form of this team going into Houston. And we'll come back and we'll record another episode to really talk about decision day, the Houston matchup, and playoff scenarios and implications. But right now, if you look back over even just the last four games, the I mean, they're terrible, right? So we have four consecutive losses. And then if we're looking just at the MLS. Just at the MLS, yes. Just at the MLS,
Kev: Yeah, if we're looking just at the MLS matchups, yeah.
Bright: four consecutive losses. even
Kev: Mm-hmm.
Bright: if you throw in the US Open Cup, which yes, like we won, and that's great, technically that's a draw, right?
Kev: Yep. It's
Bright: So if if you
Kev: on the books as a drone.
Bright: look over the the stretch, we had the draw against Vancouver, then we had the bad loss up to nothing to Minnesota. We had the long US Open Cup matchup, 120 plus minutes. Right, and the PK's technically a draw. Then you lose in the rebound game, which was expected to rail Salt Lake O three, which was a terrible game. And then you come home and you're thinking, like, all right, still lots of games in a short period of time. I think it ended up being four games in the last ten days, but you've got a team that we should beat and we lose three to two really because we had a bad six minute stretch. And then yesterday's shutout loss to a team that's already been eliminated from from the playoffs, one nothing loss. it's not great. So one point from the last 15 points available. We scored four goals over that stretch and conceded ten. So that is my opening question. Are we actually worried about our form now, or is this more about the schedule, which we definitely talked about episodes ago that this was gonna be a gauntlet with all of these games playing every three or four days. So is it more about the schedule or are we worried?
Kev: Both? If the answer is obviously both, right? It can't not be both. You can't play twenty one or whatever it was. What what was the number of games, seven games over twenty-one days, and not
Bright: Right. Yeah, something like that.
Kev: you know, not have that factor and not be tired from that. A lot of games on the road over that time period too. I don't think that accounts for the poor play that we've seen in term or the poor results at least that we've seen over the last two matchups. There's no reason we should have been dropping those two games. so some of that is either offensive you know, creativity, what's happening up top. some of it's bad play for, like you said, just a couple minutes of what the hell are we doing? Like we just lost focus. I I don't know. like six minute stretch over the game against Portland, which you know, we clearly lost focus. And then yeah, I want being out of place on that goal. Yeah.
Bright: Yeah, is it is it mental fatigue? Is it physical fatigue? Yeah, is it both? So let's let's start with Portland. We'll do a little bit of a a look at Portland. Again, maybe not as of a as much of a deep dive as we normally would. But you look at some of the numbers, we had thirteen shots against Portland, six on target, we had five corners. Portland had eleven shots, also six on target, four corners. But when you look at the the actual timing of everything and and we talked about this and we said a couple of things. We said Portland was not a good team on the road and we were a top three team in the league at home. So it looked to be like a matchup we should win. And but we specifically said, watch out for Valde. He scored two against us last time. He created their goals and sure enough, he scored in the forty-second minute. Then Da Costa got the goal a couple minutes later at forty-five plus three and then forty-eight. 48 minute Velde in the second half opening up the second half. We give up that third goal. And at that point, the game was pretty much over. We did make it interesting. And so at least we did score some goals and we had some opportunities to continue that attack and everything. So it made it kind of fun. At least I was there with dad, if you remember me talking about that. and the second half was right in front of us, so we got to see some of the goals. So that was nice. But But again, yeah. It's what happened during that time. Was it more about defensive spacing? Was it the concentration? Was it transition defense? Was it Ben Lunt? And I wanna talk about that. Of course it's probably more or less a a combination of all three. So yeah.
Kev: Yeah. the other thing you didn't mention about the Portland game, it was Downs first start
Bright: Yeah.
Kev: with City. So a little call out there. And I was excited about that when I saw it announced.
Bright: Me too.
Kev: I was I wanted to see him out there. I thought that was gonna be good things
Bright: Okay.
Kev: for us. And I came away, you know, thinking the opposite. I was like, Okay. All right, Sang Ben all the time.
Bright: Yeah, and and that's what I was thinking too. Sangbin comes in at the half and and creates a lot of the offense. Yeah, I think he ended up with two assists. of course we thought it was his goal, and I guess Navarro got a got a touch on that. We certainly couldn't
Kev: Julies. Yeah.
Bright: see that live. And I don't think I noticed until I was looking at the stats maybe the next day and I'm like, Navarro got a goal. I'm like, What did what did I miss? But yeah, so Sangbin comes in and creates a little bit of offense and then we're like, Well, he has to start against San Diego. and I did
Kev: Yeah.
Bright: think that he brought some energy and and stuff like that, but still not enough to create any action any goals, obviously, against against San Diego. So although
Kev: You're miss you're missing a key player, I think, you know. I'm not sure, so.
Bright: And and I wanna I wanna talk about that. Let's get to that after we review San Diego. We'll talk a little bit about Montan and and Berkey, for sure. But I don't know. I don't know. So all right, let we what happened happened against Portland. Again, they we did s also say this. It was a team that was fighting for their playoff lives. So they had more to play in theory than we did. But to your point earlier, we're we're playing at home after a long stretch. It was an opportunity to get back on track, and we didn't do it. I mean, you you we go that's my other thing that that leads to concern. We go from what, 21 games? Is that where it was? Unbeaten all competitions, to now winless winless in our last
Kev: Drop like flies. Yeah.
Bright: Six or is it seven? Six?
Kev: Yeah. I think it's six. Six sounds great.
Bright: Windless in our last six. One, two, three, four, five, and the USO, but yeah, six. Six, six, six. So it and again
Kev: Yep. With a lot of losses in that, you know.
Bright: Yeah, sure. And and I talked about the goals, right? we've only scored four and given up ten during that that stretch, so not great. The only thing that the only positive takeaway you have is obviously winning the US Open Cup and that our penalty kicks were great. But that's it. So then then we come into San Diego, and it's a completely different game than what we saw against Portland, but ultimately obviously the same result. We lose, we drop points at home. And this scenario, we were definitely the better team. I think Portland I dunno I've probably felt a little bit more even and obviously they scored the three goals and that kinda changes the the flow of the game. But over the course of the San Diego game, pretty much all of the stats favored us. The only exception, of course, is that one goal by Dreyer. I know we didn't record an episode leading up to that game, but we talked about it like he's their guy, and sure enough, their
Kev: Mm-hmm.
Bright: guy punishes us.
Kev: Yeah, and it was just being out of position, I think. you had mentioned
Bright: Hundred percent.
Kev: it y you felt like he had a chance to back up, get himself in position, and he opted not to for whatever reason. yeah, and that was that was the game, right? Like that was it. And then
Bright: Well and I watched that was that was the game, right? That was the game, yeah.
Kev: when that happened, all of a sudden we were wondering, okay, are we seeing a repeat of the Portland matchup? Like are we gonna let up? Another goal with forty-five minutes, into the
Bright: Mm-hmm.
Kev: into the first and then doom ourselves.
Bright: Right. And we didn't do that to our credit, right?
Kev: We didn't.
Bright: So defensively, I think we were pretty sound. again, watching that play, I thought it was a great pass. it was side of the foot, right up the guts, and and Dreyer was one on one. but and I understand Lunt is up. Like that that was fine, but you very quickly have to realize like, okay. That ball was weighted perfectly. I'm not gonna be able to go out and get it. Get it. I'm not gonna right.
Kev: Yeah, reposition myself.
Bright: So now you're caught in no man's land. And we were tracking back, right? So Dreyer was marked and Lunt had the opportunity to just turn around and run back and get in goal. Or
Kev: Yeah.
Bright: really backpedal he's if he but he didn't. He just took a couple steps, tried to follow the play. Like I I was like, do you not know where you're at on the field? He just took too long and by that point Dreyer's only option was to chip the goalie. Like he
Kev: Shipping. Yep.
Bright: he was going one on one, probably wasn't gonna win that battle, and we had guys coming back. So Lunt just had to delay that chip option.
Kev: Really make think about it, right? just make think.
Bright: Well, the other thing I said to you, I can't remember if we were at the game or driving down to the game, is that Lunt sometimes because of his size looks good, but every time he dives, he's misses the ball by that much. And that
Kev: Yeah.
Bright: was the case with the chip too. He jumps up to try and get it, he's got that big wingspan, and he misses it by that much.
Kev: Yeah, we talked about that on the way down, I think.
Bright: Yeah.
Kev: As we were walking, I think, to the stadium. Yep. Yep.
Bright: So and then and then it becomes more again about then we couldn't finish, right? So yes,
Kev: But this
Bright: we give up the goal. Again, we're going down first. We know that we're much better when we score first, right? So out of course. Of course.
Kev: Sure. every team is, let's be honest. That's an obvious statement, but
Bright: But we were we were undefeated when we scored first up until that Minnesota matchup. And that really, when you look back at like ha has derailed us. That first half against Minnesota, we were dominant. We were scoring. Navarro was creating opportunities, gets a goal and an assist. And then from then on, it's been not great. Right? Our offense has disappeared. We
Kev: Yep.
Bright: haven't created enough opportunities. We we had I I think I could count three or four phenomenal shots yesterday. With a lot of power, a lot of pace.
Kev: yeah, there were some rips.
Bright: But every one of went straight to the goalie. Right down the middle.
Kev: you were impressed with the shots. The only problem was it was it was down the middle, but man man, they let him go. And you
Bright: So
Kev: love you love to see that. That's what you want to see, but especially down. Yeah,
Bright: Yeah, i I I love it when we take opportunities like that. Yes.
Kev: especially when we're down, right? anything can happen. At least put it on the net. Downs had just bullets.
Bright: Yeah, Totland took one. Downs took one. Ostruck had good w a good one. you know, Betcher Betcher had the chip that was saved off the goal line. Navarro
Kev: Yep. Butcher had a Yeah, that Yep.
Bright: had one just sitting on the six-yard box and somehow from there managed to put the ball over. So
Kev: Yep. Yeah. I think we said it felt like it was gonna happen. The whole time it felt
Bright: Yeah, I kept looking at the
Kev: like we were gonna score.
Bright: I kept looking at the betting lines to see if I should because I was like, we're gonna tie this up. There's just too many opportunities. a goal is coming. And it just never did. And ugh. I don't know. So yeah, is it just unlucky?
Kev: Just
Bright: Can you chalk that one up to being unlucky?
Kev: No.
Bright: No. Not if it was if it was in and of itself,
Kev: Okay.
Bright: but if it was just one game, you would say maybe, but bec I think now we have this trend of of six
Kev: Yeah.
Bright: six games in a row. It's a clear trend. Navarro isn't doing enough up top, not like he was when he first came over. So either the other teams are getting wise to him, or again, we'll get to Matan in a couple minutes. Maybe the the pieces just aren't there for him. I kinda joked with you a little bit that maybe Betcher got into his head a little bit 'cause he Navarro all of a sudden seems to be floppin' a lot. Yes.
Kev: It goes down a little. Yeah. Yeah.
Bright: And the and the refs over the course of the last two games, especially, when I've been able to watch it in person, they're not really giving him a lot of help. we can see the other teams, they have their arms wrapped around them. They're tugging on his jerseys. now Navarro's
Kev: Yeah, that it really built the whistle.
Bright: Yeah, he's just he's going down and he's looking for calls. He's not getting the calls. And and now I'm starting to think like The refs know our MO. And that could be because
Kev: Mm-hmm.
Bright: of Betcher. that that is what Betcher does is and maybe now it's starting to become a team identity as is we look to change the field, and by that when the ball's in our end and we're playing it up to Navarro, hoping
Kev: Yep. We're holding it looking for a
Bright: that he gives us enough time.
Kev: file.
Bright: Yeah, but instead he's looking for a foul and then we can change the
Kev: Yeah.
Bright: field, right? But if they if every team knows that that's our MO and the ref knows that that's our MO, it makes it kinda easy to defend against us. And especially when the refs are putting their whistle away, then you know you're gonna get away with it. You just keep doing it and then we have no attack. Yeah, right.
Kev: Mm. Yeah, not good. Not good. Not a good way to go.
Bright: So like I said, it was is the same result but different different circumstances, right? Against Portland, it was our defending that was really the issue. Against San Diego, we couldn't score and we had bad goaltending for one play. how do we fix
Kev: Yep.
Bright: this? How do we fix it? Is it and we c we'll move on to this now, like, is it Matan? Is he the glue?
Kev: Is it? That's what I was gonna ask. Is it just the one player missing cause one, I mean great, let's get him back in there hopefully. but two, you know, one player making the making everything that good. You don't wanna be in that position, you know?
Bright: Well no. And maybe it's not just Montan, maybe it's also Berkey. So let's think about these two guys that they have been out over a a good portion of the stretch, the second half of this losing
Kev: Mm-hmm.
Bright: streak, right? Montan definitely is he's that connection I think between the midfield and
Kev: Yeah. He
Bright: the attack.
Kev: Such good touch on the ball, great passes, obviously
Bright: Yes.
Kev: quick, you know, good creativity. So yeah, you're missing him. No doubt. It
Bright: Yeah, I think he brings you that that progression play, right? Where he can hold on to the ball, he can dribble the ball, he can stall a little bit, he can play the ball to Navarro, right? he could take it from Edelman and Durkin. and I thought they had some good combination play the other day. I thought they played well, but they also seemed to be just a little out of sync and they didn't know what to do with it. And I'm no also noticing a trend of a lot of backwards passes again. Right. I was like, we're not pushing the ball forward and I think maybe that's where Montan you can get the ball to Montan and he can dribble or look for a pass. Yeah.
Kev: Yep. Somebody's making that run across the top, right? He's willing to play that on a lot of times. And you're right. We we saw it yesterday. We saw a lot of pulling it back when that
Bright: Yeah.
Kev: run was happening. And I thought we felt Matan's absence. the other thing, you know, you mentioned it, Berkey, not just from a true, you know, goalkeeper standpoint in terms of saves. But playing the ball out of the backfield, he I think he's so key with the way we want to play. Whereas with Lunt, you don't want to play it back there. You just don't want to do it. And we put Lunt in some tough positions.
Bright: No, no. Every time it goes back to you get nervous.
Kev: We talked about it on the Portland game where he kicked that ball out for the corner kick. Like, don't put him in that position. Don't do it. But I think we're so used to Berkey being back there and how well he plays with his feet.
Bright: Well, and does Burk does Berkey bring
Kev: it it changes the game a little bit for our backfield.
Bright: you some other intangibles, right? We know he's a great goalie. We know we can come up with some saves. You're definitely like to your point, you're a little bit more confident, bringing the ball out of the back with him back there versus Lunt. But is he also helping you with defensive organization, communication, right? We already talked about distribution, but just that calming. in the back line, knowing that if you make a mistake, Berkey's gonna be in the right position. He's gonna give you an opportunity for the save, that you don't necessarily have that same confidence with Lunt. And
Kev: He's gonna yell at you.
Bright: then of course Berkey's the he's the captain too. And I think Bumgardle's done a great job filling in that role while Berkey's been out. But I think Berkey of course he's the better goalie, but he also brings you those intangibles that you don't think about. and maybe we're starting to see those cracks With Lunt back there.
Kev: Yep. All good points. All good points. Yeah, I mean, obviously he's communicating
Bright: Yeah. Yeah, I mean I'm
Kev: to his backfield, talking about who's open, who's not. When they need a press, you know, when he he you see him all the time out there communicating, so y you know that's a piece that we're missing. Yeah, yeah. I mean,
Bright: A lot of the time she's yelling, but yeah.
Kev: all goalkeepers are yelling. If they're not yelling, what are they doing, you know?
Bright: Yeah, yeah. He's he's only happy after the game and it's a win, right? during the game, we could be up four nothing and he's yelling at yeah. Yes. He's yelling at someone. Well,
Kev: Yeah. He's never like, All right, good job. He might be like Keep going. Yeah.
Bright: so now the schedule excuse is over. Right? We w I mean I'm trying to remember when we really talked about this and of course we had the The US Open Cup matchup there. So I think it was it was starting versus Galaxy, right? So we had a week off in between wait, well we didn't have a week off 'cause New York got cancelled, right?
Kev: yeah, it it got moved
Bright: So we so we had a big break between
Kev: up to Wednesday.
Bright: Yeah, we had a big break between Toronto and then New York, and then we had a lot of games. We had New York, so New York, Galaxy, Vancouver, Minnesota, US Open, Salt Lake, Portland, San Diego. So eight matchups with only
Kev: Yeah.
Bright: three days or so in between.
Kev: Yep. that's brutal.
Bright: We so yeah, you've had eight games without a full week off in between. So now we go into decision day. We will have a full week off before Houston. We'll have that that opportunity to focus a little bit more on strategy, make sure that we're rested up, get healthy.
Kev: What's the problem here though?
Bright: What do you mean?
Kev: What what's the biggest issue of these two losses?
Bright: I don't know. I think that's what we're trying to figure out, isn't it?
Kev: It the biggest problem is we're sitting at number four now.
Bright: Yeah.
Kev: You got Houston we're playing Houston. They're sitting behind us with no they're they're at fifty one points. Tied with us.
Bright: Well, they play tonight too. A g they played fifty one Yeah, they played tonight. They're tied with us and they play against Portland. So Portland again they're fighting
Kev: Yeah.
Bright: for their playoff lives. They need a win.
Kev: So
Bright: To get them into that playoff contention. So Portland has to win. Houston, they're playing much like we are now at this point. So it'll be an interesting matchup, and we'll come back and preview that next week for sure. But yes, they'll they're fighting for home field advantage. As as are we.
Kev: Yes, I so w we we put ourselves in a position to lose that. And that sucks.
Bright: Yes. First and second place, they're out for us. We have no chance now to finish first or second. So we could still finish third. San Jose won yesterday, so they're at fifty two points. So they would have to lose next week. We could hop them. same with Houston. I i if we still control our own destiny to an extent I think 'cause even if Houston wins, that'll put them at fifty four points and then if we come back and beat next week then then we're good.
Kev: Then then we have to win. Yeah. it's a winner or cry about it in house.
Bright: Yeah. Now the the LAFC also plays today, I think. so they could hop up to fifty points, right? So I mean we we need to go in next week and win. I mean it's definitely getting congested congested, and I know that we want to play at home. One, we want to go to the games. Right? It's
Kev: Yes.
Bright: better for the city. It's better for the team finances, all of that. It's better for the fans
Kev: No.
Bright: to have two home games. And up until these recent games, like I said, we were one of the best teams playing at home. So
Kev: And I just I I didn't even think it was a possibility that we would not have a home field advantage game.
Bright: Well, 'cause when you win twenty one games in a row, or y you don't lose twenty one games in a row anyway, you assume that a loss here or there is just gonna be a blip on the radar and a consequence,
Kev: Yes.
Bright: like we said, of the US Open Cup and a lot of games. But then that's why I was saying, the Portland match was so important to to get back on track at home. And we couldn't do it. And if we would have won that game, who knows how that changes the mentality going into San Diego. So now, yeah, and now you have to go out and win on the road against a very good Houston team that's tough to beat. And again, we'll talk about that more in our next episode, but they're they're 1-0 and 2 Four, I think, over their last five.
Kev: Yeah.
Bright: So lots of draws. So they're a hard team to beat. but they I think they won their last their last matchup. And like and again, like I said, the calendar congestion is over. We'll get the full rest. I think it's important that we bring back Matan and Berkey. The question is, if they're healthy, do they play next week? you get one game before the playoffs or are you trying to hold out another week? I I feel like you have to try and get the team gelling again.
Kev: Some chemistry again going back in. Yeah. No, and and for me, I think you need to play for the home field advantage. So
Bright: Yeah.
Kev: Yeah. you have to put in. We need to win. We cannot I cannot sit at home and watch the game. I need to be there.
Bright: Nope, I agree. I agree. Here's I'm trying to look. I got some other stats. Right, so we went twenty-one games all competition without a loss, nineteen MLS. We now are on four straight losses. So not even four straight losses, right? Our last five in the MLS, O one and four, one point of the possible last 15. Our last five goals. Our last five, we have four goals, four and ten against. what else here? We already talked about some of these. Berkey out, Maton out. We've had four games in our last ten days. Hmm. I don't know. What else? That could be it.
Kev: Dirkin, good game last game. I don't know. Shout out to Durkin. I thought he had a strong performance. That's all.
Bright: Yeah, yep. Sangbin like I sa I just don't know what to do. I guess that's that's my frustration here as I as I think about this, is Sangbin will put on a good performance and then he'll do a big fat nothing. Navarro had this huge streak and now he's kind of been on this drought, even though technically he got that goal, right?
Kev: Yeah. No.
Bright: Fall had a couple of good games and then a bad one. And then McNaughton started the last two, but we're giving up goals against Velde and one on one opportunities that we just couldn't stop right?
Kev: Yeah.
Bright: Wallum has regressed. He had that big stretch run where he was getting assists and playing well, and we had to concede that We may have been wrong about him and now he he had a couple of opportunities yesterday and I even even before he wound up to take the shots, you could see it coming. I said, Don't get excited. And then skied one high, the other one rolled wide. He he's passing the ball backwards again.
Kev: Yeah. He had some missed opportunities. Yeah. Definitely some pullbacks.
Bright: Yep. I don't know. Yeah, I think I think Durkin, Edelman still strong, Totland still doing good. But and Bum and
Kev: Yeah, no, we like titles, but
Bright: Bum Gardel I would s I would say, although he's I think he was at fault for one or two
Kev: yeah. solid back there.
Bright: of those last couple of goals too, but I don't know.
Kev: Yeah. It was a tough game. Tough game to be at. I heard
Bright: It's Yep. It's it's frustrating and and that's probably all we got since we're not necessarily gonna preview Houston. but
Kev: You you lost some confidence, I I just hope the players haven't.
Bright: So if you had to assign a percentage to the confidence you have going into next week and going into the playoffs, what what percentage would you say at? Obviously a hundred being like I'm a hundred percent confident they're gonna do great, zero being we're gonna get smoked, like I don't even care anymore. What percentage are you at?
Kev: boy. confidence to win the whole thing or confidence to show up and put on some good some good football.
Bright: Yeah, not not to win the whole thing. I it's funny 'cause I almost feel like that's out the window now. Like when we were on that historic run
Kev: Yeah, sh we were certainly yeah, you were certainly in that point where you're like, Okay, well this is great, we're never losing again, we're gonna win. both could have yeah, now, you know, fifty fifty, you know, I I don't know who's what team's gonna show up. I don't know what team's gonna show up. Are we gonna bring offense? Are we putting up a lot of goals? Should we be projecting three goals, two goals a game?
Bright: We were lucky to get one, right? And we're and we're always good to
Kev: Yeah.
Bright: give away one bad one. I might I might be even lower than that. I feel like. I feel like I'm at like a maybe a 35, 40% that we're gonna show up and play some good football or win a couple of games over the next couple, right? Like get out of round one of the playoffs or secure home field advantage. I like I'm not
Kev: And I'm still nervous about that.
Bright: super confident anymore. I feel like we've lost our mojo. something happened. Whether it is Matan, whether it is Berkey, whether it is just too many games in a row here, whether Yeah. Right. Other teams have figured out our our system.
Kev: Or just losing. Maybe it was just losing. That first loss and stuff, ooh. Yeah, I'm gonna hold on to hope that Matan comes back and he
Bright: Okay.
Kev: brings everything with him.
Bright: Yeah. Th that's about the only hope I have. Is that yeah, you you get your two guys back and all of a sudden
Kev: Yep. We're
Bright: we're right back to the old team that we were, and then you're then you're saying Okay, it was just a a blip, we had a bad couple of games, but now we're back.
Kev: Or or just the rest, right? yeah. N now we finally get some actual rest, you know, get some legs back in us. Sometimes that's key too, so hoping it's one of those two and we come out and we whoop up on on Houston. I know we'll talk about that later.
Bright: Yep. Yep. Well let's come back next week. We'll preview Houston. We'll talk about the some of the different scenarios after we know what happens with with Houston tonight, LA F. C. tonight. So if we can come back record on Thursday or something or or even Wednesday night, we'll We'll try and get everybody ready for the the game against Houston. Decision day. It's a six PM start. right. Everybody in the conference is playing at the
Kev: Nice.
Bright: same time. so
Kev: Ooh, not nice. The girls are gonna be be awake for that one.
Bright: Yeah, yeah. I think it's six PM. I don't know. We'll we'll double ch we'll double check that. We'll double check that. So it's
Kev: No. Like it.
Bright: day daylight savings time today, so maybe I read it wrong. But who knows?
Kev: Yeah, I'm sure it's right.
Bright: You know, I always I always kind of remember it being eight o'clock that we would be at the eight o'clock time on decision day because you have to get the West Coast teams in there and so like a West Coast game would be six o'clock. So I don't know. Maybe I have it wrong but
Kev: Yeah, I'd make more sense than play I don't know, than playing it for, but maybe not.
Bright: Yeah, the anyhow, decision day, all the teams play at the same time, so there's no funny business, and we'll know next week where we're at. We know we're we know we're gonna make it to round one. Round one is already secured. It's just a matter of who are we playing, where are we playing, and and will we be in good form going into the playoffs? We'll see. Yep.
Kev: Yeah, may that might be the most important piece is just being in good form, whether we're here away.
Bright: Yep. Absolutely.
Kev: Get it.
Bright: Well we know we got one more, if nothing else, one more game at home. so we'll keep a lookout for that. Hopefully you and I are both available and we'll see. We'll see what happens. So all right. All right. Audios. You could tell
Kev: Like it. All right. Adios. See ya everybody.
Bright: you could tell that we're dejected, can't you? We're like, Yeah. ugh. It's more fun recording this when we're winning.
Kev: Sure. Yeah. All that all that extra sleep we got, you know.
Bright: Well that that too, yeah. all right.
Kev: All right.
